TOME & DJ KANJI Drop "BREAK OUT"

On October 11th, TOME and DJ KANJI made waves in the music scene with the release of their new EP, “BREAK OUT,” along with a captivating music video. TOME, a rapper from the Chiba-based hip-hop collective 98jams, which also includes artists like Eyden, continues his rise after collaborating on the track “GM” from DJ KANJI’s album “THE VOICE,” released in April.

This double-titled EP features six tracks, including the standout singles “Cash Flow feat. Deech” and “Lamborghini feat. Choppa Capone.” Among the new songs is “I’m Flexin’,” featuring Ron B, another artist active in Chiba. The EP also includes a track titled “TOME,” an eponymous song where TOME expresses gratitude to those around him, as well as the bolder, more sensual tracks “May Everybody Be Happy” and “BREAK OUT,” co-produced with DJ TATSUKI, DJ RYO-TA (THE UNCLE), and DJ KANJI.

On the production side, the technical team includes established names like K LARK alias KOTA as the sound engineer, DJ FRIP alias Beatlab handling mixing, and YaStaka for mastering. The “BREAK OUT” video, directed by NICK JP, features appearances by TOME, DJ KANJI, DJ TATSUKI, DJ RYO-TA, as well as eyden and other key figures like DJ FRIP and K LARK.

Additionally, the duo launched the “#LamborghiniChallenge” project, inspired by their track “Lamborghini (feat. Choppa Capone).” This challenge invites rappers to channel their fighting spirit, symbolized by the Lamborghini, into creative remixes. TOME and DJ KANJI will reveal and showcase the selected talents through their social media platforms.
