Today, Wednesday, February 12th, BANNY BUGS released his brand-new single, “BIRKIN.” This track marks a significant milestone in his career, as it is part of his first solo full-length album. As the founder of the CCS Records collective based in Fukuoka, BANNY BUGS continues to push the boundaries of musical expression as both a producer and MC. With “BIRKIN“, he delivers a dance music piece inspired by the story of Jane Birkin, the muse behind Hermès’ iconic Birkin bag.
Production, mixing, and arrangement were handled by mee mee mee, who also serves as BANNY BUGS’ live DJ. This track gives Amapiano and Afrobeats an alternative twist, incorporating a rich and diverse sonic palette that transforms it into a luxurious, immersive dance music experience. Mastering was entrusted to MAITO OTA, which is known for his work with JUBEE, Rave Racers, Yohji Igarashi, and many others. A stunning photograph taken by Tairiku Kawamura, a Tokyo-based photographer, further enhances the visual aesthetic of “BIRKIN”.
