The hip-hop collective TOKYOKANSEI has officially announced the release of their brand-new single titled Play Back scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025. Made up of four members — ADLER, ONE, K02, and DJ Shingo Yue — TOKYOKANSEI is steadily making a name for itself on Tokyo’s underground scene.
Since dropping their single “Street Scape” in May 2024, the crew has been turning heads with standout performances in Tokyo’s club circuit. TOKYOKANSEI has established a unique style, winning over a growing audience by blending sophisticated beats with sharp, poetic lyrics. In 2025, their music gained even more momentum through social media, where their tracks have attracted a wave of new fans.
With Play Back, the group’s fifth single and first release of the year, TOKYOKANSEI delivers an introspective journey. The track illuminates each member’s teenage memories and experiences, contrasting past and present, all carried by their distinctive sonic aesthetic. The Play Back artwork was created by HIROKI ABE, a renowned photographer and filmmaker known for his work with leading hip-hop artists such as Tade Dust and D3adStock.
