Rapper MC TYSON has announced the release of his fifth album, titled THE MESSAGE 5. Hailing from Osaka, he has been a true phenomenon in the Japanese music scene since his first song, “I HAVE A DREAM,” propelled him to the forefront in 2012. The announcement was made directly on his Instagram profile, where the artist shared the front and back covers of the project with a message for his fan base of over a hundred thousand subscribers.

“To my family, my friends, and my fans
I put my life on the line to make this album.
Those who have known me long will understand that I was just a kid from Suminoe with nothing to offer.
But when I met this music, I was fascinated, and it changed my life.
I just went straight ahead in a dark tunnel with no light shining.
I am not a good rapper or a good singer.
I know that better than anyone else.
I don’t have any talent.
But at some point, I thought, “I’m going to give up on giving up.
I think it was when my first son was born.

Since then, MC TYSON has released several successful albums between 2016 and 2021, including THE MESSAGE, THE MESSAGE 2, 3, and 4, and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Japanese rap.
