Originally from Isahaya in Nagasaki Prefecture, Lipstorm developed a passion for hip-hop during her teenage years. Strongly influenced by legends like Lil Kim, Fat Joe, and Rakim, she began freestyle rapping at 17. Her journey took her from her hometown to Tokyo, where she collaborated with her friend Ladycat, a rapper from Shibuya. Her first notable collaboration dates back to 2013 with DJ ADDICT on the album “THA PATIENCE THE MIXTAPE“, which allowed her to get noticed in the Tokyo J-RAP scene thanks to her flamboyant lyrical style. Invited by Red Bull Music for a freestyle episode of 64 Bars, she later unveiled her second album, “1000,” involving several supporters from her early days. Fans will be delighted to learn that a new EP is planned for December 2025. In 2023, Lipstorm began a serious collaboration with Sonikem. Together, they have released several projects on platforms: Never Stop EP, INSURGENT, BIGTIME, TRAIL, and more singles.
