About ZORN
ZORN, born on February 16, 1989, in Shinkoiwa, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, is a Japanese rapper. He began his career in 2004 and gained recognition through various MC battles since his adolescence. Under the name Zone The Darkness, his former stage name, he released his first self-produced album, “Shinshō suketchi” (心象スケッチ) in 2009. In 2014, he joined Showa Records, a label led by rapper Hannya, and changed his name to ZORN. They released their fourth album, “Third Children“, and held their first solo concert, “Third Children One-man Live,” at Shibuya WWW. In 2015, they released their fifth album, “The Downtown“, which included the song “My Life“, later becoming synonymous with the group.
In 2016, they released their sixth album, “Seikatsu Biyori.” In December of the same year, they performed a solo concert called “Oyugikai” at Shibuya WWW X. 2017 their seventh album, “Shibamata Diary,” was released. In December of the same year, they held a solo concert titled “With Dad” at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM. In 2018, they organized a solo tour, “AtoZ Tour 2018“, with rapper AKLO, covering six cities in Japan. In 2019, they released their eighth album, “LOVE“, and embarked on the “LOVE TOUR 2019“, which included performances in nine Japanese cities, including Katsushika Symphony Hills Mozart Hall. During the tour, ZORN announced their departure from Showa Records and their independence under Ajien Universe at the Osaka show. The same year, they launched their own label, “All My Homies”. In 2020, they released their ninth album, “Shinkoiwa“. In 2021, they presented a one-man show, “My Life at Nippon Budokan“, at Nippon Budokan in January. In 2022, they held a live show, “My Life at Nippon Budokan”, at Nippon Budokan.
That same year, they released the EP “925” in August. In September, they performed a solo concert titled “Stigmatisation at YOKOHAMA ARENA” at the Yokohama Arena. In December, they released a self-produced album titled “Tuxedo” with orchestral arrangements. ZORN has had a prolific and diverse career, exploring different musical styles while staying true to his roots in rap. His talent and creativity have earned him a name in the Japanese music industry, and he continues to delight his fans with captivating performances and high-quality productions.
